I was pondering today why I am still excited about what the Lord has afforded me to do in the ministry of Jesus Christ at Carolina Univ OfTheologyand Reconciliation CommunityChurch. I am so looking forward to classes starting at the University and to see the students return to the classroom. As I was pondering this, the Lord reminded me that I am living in my calling. He reminded me when I had personally enrolled in the Graduate Program of Carolina University of Theology to earn my Masters of Christian Education, I was asked why I had enrolled in Bible College when I was already "working" in ministry. I remember asking the Lord for the proper response and He had me share with the person an example He gives me again and again. When we go to a doctor, we go believing that doctor is equipped to handle whatever we are coming in for. If we were to go into a doctor's office and he said, "We have found a spot on your lungs and you need surgery and well, I have never been to medical school, I don't even know anything about surgical instruments . . . but I want to do surgery on you . . . I want to cut you, so jump up here on my desk in my office and by faith I am going to cut you open and get rid of that spot . . ." The Lord showed me that the average person would grab their things and with that hospital gown on get out of that doctor's office. We expect a doctor to be equipped, to have gained the necessary education to rightly handle our medical situation. Well, the Lord showed me it's the same when it comes to HIS WORD!! He said to me daughter, you've been called to rightly handle the WORD of TRUTH . . . you will be cutting into people's very lives, very spirits, very hearts, very souls with MY WORD, so you need to be EQUIPPED to RIGHTLY HANDLE MY WORD!!!!! So that's why I went back to college and pursued my Masters in Christian Education and then took another 11 (that's right 11 - SMH but to G-d be the glory) years to complete my Doctor of Christian Education, so that I could be used by the LORD to instruct His people in a more excellent way. IT'S THE LORD'S DOING AND IT'S MARVELOUS IN MY EYES and I shall never grow weary in being allowed to teach the people of G-D . . . to be able to speak life into a life and to seek the LOST and strengthen the saved. Simply love what I do. SCHOOLS IN!!! AND I STILL LOVE WHAT I DO . . .

Our 2014 Commencement was a special time of celebrating our graduates!!! We were richly blessed by the Charge to the Students from our Board Memember, Pastor Byron Craig, Senior Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Norristown, PA. Our University President, Dr. John R. Peyton's Commencement Address, "Let's Go Fishing" reminded each of us what our purpose and reason for continuing our Christian Education is all about and it is to "go fishing" for souls and to strengthen the saved.
